Reading Corner

I love to read. This is a relatively new passion. I hated reading during the first couple of decades of my life. Mostly, I didn't like it because I was, and am a slow reader, so it takes me time to get through books. Because of that, I rarely had the time to read for enjoyment. I was always reading for school. Interestingly enough, it was during my time at Seminary that I turned into a lover of books. I don't think I am any faster than in my early years. I think the difference is that the books I was required to read were, for the most part fascinating to me. Don't get me wrong, there were books that I didn't think were worth my time to read. My theology text book was great for falling asleep during 9 hour days of class. On the other hand, when I wasn't tired, I was intrigued.

These days, I usually have at least a couple of books going at the same time. I usually have one to read in my spare time and one to help me wind down at night. I also think what people read tells a lot about them. This corner is a window into me. You can read it, or not. I won't know and don't care.
